This room is for our toddlers and twos. Bright and colorful, the room features sections for circle time, preschool, and open-ended play, which is so important to social and emotional development. They also have their own bathroom with a tiny toilet, just the right size to encourage toilet training when the time is right. Most importantly, our highly-qualified staff is devoted to implementing the Frog Street curriculum, which provides plenty of opportunities to develop skills that will ensure the best start for children.
With over a thousand square feet to explore, our threes and fours share this stimulating space and rotate through centers equipped with the latest math, science, technology, art, and language supplies and manipulatives. The other side of the room has a home center, dress-up center, diner, and market to practice role-playing, which is important for developing social and emotional skills. Children practice writing their names, letters, colors, and numbers in English and Spanish. With an emphasis on preparing our students for success in school, the Frog Street curriculum is the same high-quality curriculum used in preschool programs in area public and private schools.
Daily exercise promotes physical development, helps increase concentration, and provides more restful sleep and better health. Because Houston weather can be unpredictable and is often too hot, cold or rainy to go outside, our indoor gym is equipped with a rock-climbing wall, tumbling mats, and other activities to help them get the wiggles out. The open space is perfect for napping after a hearty meal, which we provide for free. In the evening, children gather here for open play as they wait for parents.
We strive to bring the outdoors in and create beautiful environments in every room. Beauty helps children learn by stimulating creativity, wonder, and inspiration. Our forest surrounds our infants with nature as they explore their environment and practice rolling, sitting, pulling up, crawling, and walking in a safe and nurturing environment. We've provided our babies with plenty of toys, stimulation, and soft landing spots, as well as highly-qualified staff who are trained to implement the Frog Street curriculum to give them the best start in life.
